VC America Electronics was created to meet the requirements of precision encoding solutions, with focus on supplying high quality encoder and scale components to support the needs of the Robotics, Motion control, Metrology, and Precision Measurement marketplaces.

When seeking to maximize accuracy, the encoder scale pattern accuracy and contrast ratios are critically important to enable the encoders IC to consistently output accurate period by period output. Combined with encoders that have low distortion, cyclical errors and noise, exceptional repeatability can be achieved. Repeatability is a requisite for error correction algorithms to achieve high accuracy needed for precise measurement interpolation to meet the needs of Metrology and wider trends for increasing accuracy in motion control and positioning.

Once the design is complete, materials are polished to exacting standards and checked for defects.

Sub-micron photolithography with state-of-the-art process controls creates exceptionally accurate patterns with tight tolerances to ensure maximum repeatability and consistency in measurement.

Scales are visually inspected for defects and packaged for safe shipping to customers.

Who we are

As global citizens we share our responsibility to sustainability and minimizing harm to our environment and society. We upgraded our modern facility with a cool reflective roof, extra insulation, converted all incandescent and CLR lighting to LED, and implemented “smart” technology to manage lights and HVAC. Our primary energy provider generates nearly 50% from renewable sources in 2025. All VC America Electronics products are compliant with industry standards such as RoHS and CMRT.
